LIGHTING THE FUSE FOR CHANGE
Why I Fight For The Injustice Of All Beings
I never had an easy life.
I was abused—repeatedly, relentlessly—
by people who were supposed to protect me.
Then, in 2012, I survived a violent crime that changed everything.
It stole my body, shattered my spirit, and left me crawling through shadows most people never see.
It took me over three years to walk again.
But those years taught me how to see.
I learned what it means to be disabled in a world built for the able.
I saw the way people look past you when you move too slowly, speak too softly, or hurt too visibly.
I understood what it means to be invisible, inconvenient, underestimated, discarded.
And still—I rose.
I rose not just to walk, but to stand—
for those like me,
for those still in pain,
for those the world forgets.
I became vegan at thirteen.
My uncle was a hunter.
The day he killed a squirrel, something broke inside me.
That life mattered.
That moment mattered.
And I realized: if I could stop suffering, I must.
So I chose a different path.
I chose compassion.
I chose defiance.
I chose to love loudly in a world that profits from silence.
I fight for the justice of all beings.
For the animal in a cage.
For the addict in the alley.
For the survivor in the dark.
For the disabled body trying to exist in a world that never planned for it.
No one is disposable.
No life is beyond love.
I am not here to be palatable.
I am not here to be acceptable.
I am here to be truth.
To be witness.
To be change.
